Exhibition: Medicinal Plants: A Living Tradition of Healing
TDU in collaboration with the regional museum on Natural History (RMNH) Mysore has launched exhibition titled “Medicinal Plants: A Living Tradition of Healing,”. This initiative aims to celebrate educate and promote the importance of medicinal plants in sustainable healthcare.
The Objective of the exhibition is to showcase the tradition knowledge and scientific significance of medicinal plants.
Objective:
· To promote awareness about Indian medical system, medicinal flora, conservation, and sustainable usage.
· To highlight the role of medicinal plants in contemporary health care practices.
· To encourage community participation in the preservation of indigenous plant – based knowledge.
Exhibition Highlights:
· Diversity of Medicinal Plants: Learn about the various species used in tradition.
· Ethno-botanical Practices: Discover how different communities utilise medicinal plants for healing.
· Ancient Wisdom & Modern Science: Explore the synergy between traditional healing methods and scientific research.
