I am Vinhu V., a Master’s student in Environmental Studies with a specialization in Conservation Practice at ATREE, Bangalore. With a B.Sc. in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Zoology from MCC, Bangalore. I am passionate about the intersections of ecology, communities, and sustainability. My academic interests include water resource management, restoration ecology, and political ecology. I have worked on projects involving water quality assessment, tank ecosystems, and sustainable landscape management. I enjoy combining field-based research with community perspectives to understand and support conservation efforts. Through coursework and fieldwork, I’ve developed skills in ecological monitoring, data analysis, and environmental communication. I am particularly drawn to participatory approaches that centre local knowledge in conservation. Outside academics, I enjoy nature walks, photography, and creating art that reflects environmental themes. I aim to contribute meaningfully to research and action that promote equitable and sustainable environmental futures.
