Sneha Gutgutia is currently pursuing a PhD under Prof. Anindya Sinha and Dr. Maan Barua at National Institute of Advanced Studies. Her research examines human-animal relations in urban informal settlements. Before embarking on this journey, she was working with Kalpavriksh environment action group in Pune on Community Conserved Areas in India and South Asia. She has completed her Masters in Social Work in Livelihoods from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Her master’s dissertation was towards understanding livelihood vulnerabilities of artisans engaged in the sholapith handicraft in the state of West Bengal, India. Prior to her masters she was working in the IT sector as a software engineer, having completed her bachelors in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
