Dr. Vivek Raghavan is a pioneering entrepreneur, technologist, and architect of Digital Public Goods (DPG), dedicated to advancing AI and digital inclusion in India. As the founder of Sarvam AI, he is leading the development of full-stack Generative AI solutions to benefit millions.

A key contributor to India’s digital transformation, Dr. Raghavan played a pivotal role in Aadhaar as Chief Product Manager and Biometric Architect at UIDAI, helping scale the world’s largest identity program. His AI innovations have enhanced service quality and fraud detection. As an advisor to Digital India Bhashini and mentor at AI4Bharat, he has championed language AI to ensure digital access in all Indian languages.

His impact extends to judicial AI, digital governance, and payments, with contributions to the Supreme Court’s SUVAS translation system, GST fraud detection, and NPCI. A distinguished leader in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), he has also contributed to India’s space ambitions with Team Indus.

This D.Litt. is in recognition of his exceptional transformative contributions to AI, digital governance, and public service.
