Introduction to Ayurveda Dietetics is a short online course designed for learners who want a clear and practical introduction to Ayurveda nutrition, Ayurvedic food principles, and dietetics.


The course explains how food, digestion, and individual constitution are understood in Ayurveda, what evidence we have for them and is one of the only courses that discusses how these ideas relate to modern nutrition. 


This course is suitable for anyone searching for short online courses in Ayurveda nutrition, Ayurvedic diet courses, or foundational Ayurveda food courses.


The course is offered by The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU) and is delivered fully online.

What This Course Covers

This short course introduces key concepts of Ayurvedic dietetics in a simple and structured manner.


Topics include :

- Basic principles of Ayurveda related to food and digestion

- Ayurvedic classification of foods

- Understanding digestion (agni) and metabolism

- Concept of individual constitution (prakriti) and diet

- Relationship between Ayurvedic nutrition and modern dietetics


The focus is on foundational understanding, not clinical practice.

Course Fees

- Students (subsidised): ₹2,500

- Non-students / professionals: ₹4,000


The student fee is offered at a subsidised rate as part of the university’s academic outreach.

This is a short introductory online course. It does not provide clinical training or professional licensure in Ayurveda or dietetics. The course is intended for learning, orientation, and academic enrichment.

Is it mandatory to attend the live sessions?

No.

Live attendance is not compulsory, but recommended for better interaction and learning; all sessions are recorded.

Is this course online?

Yes.

The course is fully online and offered in live and hybrid (recorded + limited live sessions) formats.

You can rely on recorded sessions, or write to wellness@tdu.edu.in to explore a customised group offering (minimum 20 participants).

What can I expect from the course?

You will gain a structured, foundational understanding of Ayurvedic principles related to food, digestion, and diet through interactive online sessions.

What can I do after completing this course?

You receive a 1-credit university certificate and may progress to advanced courses or internships; many learners also apply the knowledge for personal or professional wellness use.

Does this course allow me to practise Ayurveda professionally?

No.
