Sukanya G

Sukanya G is a researcher currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), Bangalore. Her academic background includes a Master's in Anthropology from the University of Madras and a Bachelor's in Botany from Calicut University. Her research focuses on indigenous healing practices, ethnographies, and traditional knowledge systems, particularly among the tribes of Kerala. She has worked at institutions like ActionAid Association, the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), and KIRTADS, contributing to community-based research and cultural documentation. Her experience includes curating painting series on tribal life, directing ethnographic documentaries, conducting impact assessment studies, and organizing museum exhibitions. She has published extensively in academic journals, authored works on tribal heritage, and presented research at various national and international conferences. She has also been involved in training programs, faculty workshops, and interdisciplinary research initiatives, contributing to the broader discourse on indigenous knowledge preservation and cultural sustainability.
