Ramakrishna Bhat

Ramakrishna Venkatramana Bhat is a Research Associate in the IKS Minor Project at The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), with an M.Phil. in Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa from Karnataka Sanskrit University. His research focuses on the use of Sanskrit texts in social-scientific inquiry to understand Indian culture and society.

Ramakrishna Venkatramana Bhat is a Research Associate in the IKS Minor Project at The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU). He holds an M.Phil. in Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa from Karnataka Sanskrit University and has undergone nine years of traditional Gurukula training in Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa and Mīmāṃsā. His research focuses on the use of Sanskrit texts in social-scientific inquiry for understanding Indian culture and society. His work engages with Indian Knowledge Systems, Sanskrit textual traditions, and contemporary approaches to understanding Indian social and cultural phenomena. He has presented research papers at national and international conferences and contributed to academic publications and popular articles in English and Kannada. He has experience in research, teaching, academic writing, editing, proofreading, and translation between Sanskrit, Kannada, and English. His broader academic interests include rethinking the understanding of Indian society through its own intellectual and textual traditions and examining the assumptions underlying contemporary social-scientific descriptions of India.
