Lakshmi M

Lakshmi M, an Indigenous Solega professional from the Biligiri Rangan Hills, Chamarajnagar district, Karnataka. I am passionate about preserving Indigenous Traditional Ecological knowledge, promoting tribal rights, and supporting sustainable development through collaborative and culturally respectful approaches. I am also an enthusiast in nature photography and videography, using visual storytelling to document forests, wildlife, and the cultural heritage of the Solega community.

Lakshmi M have worked with organizations including ATREE, Punarchith Collective, the Institute of Public Health, and JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research on projects related to conservation, public health, and community-based research. Lakshmi M experience includes documentation of TEK, field research, and community engagement, health systems assessments. Lakshmi M have also contributed to academic research and represented the Solega community at educational and cultural forums.
