Dr Kajari Kamal

Dr. Kajari Kamal is a faculty for the Post-Graduate Programme in Strategic Studies at Takshashila Institution, Bangalore. Her research focuses on the concept of ‘strategic culture’ in the Indian context.
Dr. Kajari Kamal is a political scientist and strategic analyst with a PhD in Political Science. She specializes in International Relations, Indian Foreign Policy, Geopolitics, and Strategic Culture.
Dr. Kajari Kamal is an Associate Professor at Takshashila Institution, Bangalore. Her research primarily focuses on the concept of 'strategic culture' in the Indian context. She holds a B.A. in History from Lady Sri Ram College (1995-1998) and an M.A. in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (1998-2000). She earned her doctoral degree from the University of Hyderabad.
Dr. Kamal is a regular guest speaker at premier defence institutions such as the National Defence College (New Delhi), Naval War College (Goa), Defence Services Staff College (Wellington), and College of Defence Management (Secunderabad). Additionally, she is a guest faculty member at Kautilya School of Public Policy and the Warfare and Aerospace Strategy Programme (WASP) of the Indian Air Force. She contributes regularly to several online platforms, including The Print, Observer Research Foundation, MP-IDSA, and USI. Her book on Kautilya’s Arthashastra and India’s contemporary statecraft was globally published by Routledge in August 2022.
