Dr Jwalin Patel

A prac-academic focusing on holistic education for harmony through philosophy, pedagogy, teacher professional development, and intervention.
Dr Jwalin Patel is a research scholar who has been working in the education developmental sector since 2009. His research (as a codirector of THRIvE Research Centre, and previously as postdoc, PhD, and MPhil at University of Cambridge, UK) focuses on systems and implementation research for holistic education, education for harmony, and social emotional learning. He previously taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at University of Cambridge, UK, University College London, UK and St Xaviers College, Ahmedabad. He is also the cofounder and codirector of Together In Development & Education (TIDE) Foundation, a grassroots organization, which runs several programs including education direct education provision, teacher empowerment, school improvement, and development of learning materials for activity based learning and education as/for/through social justice. Furthermore, he has served as a consultant for various organizations including Global Innovation Foundation, Inter Network Agency for Education in Emergencies, UNICEF and Cambridge Partnerships for Education.
