Dr. Anantha M. A. is a scholar of Sanskrit and Indigenous Knowledge Systems specializing in Dhanurveda, Vimanashastra, manuscriptology, and ancient Indian sciences. He currently serves as Assistant Professor contributing to IKS research, education, and heritage sciences.
Dr. Anantha M. A. is an interdisciplinary scholar dedicated to integrating classical Sanskrit knowledge with contemporary scientific understanding. His core academic competencies include Dhanurveda, traditional Indian metallurgy, Vimanashastra, medical manuscriptology, and philosophical systems such as Nyāya. With strong proficiency in Grantha and Sharada scripts, he has contributed extensively to deciphering, digitization, and critical editing of unpublished manuscripts of cultural and scientific importance.
His work advances the preservation and accessibility of ancient Indian scientific literature through structured publication, digital documentation, and research capacity building. As Assistant Professor at CTKDSI, Trans-Disciplinary University, Bengaluru, he is actively engaged in scholarly teaching, heritage science research, and the development of educational resources for Indigenous Knowledge Systems. He is committed to strengthening the academic continuity between historical Sanskrit knowledge traditions and modern transdisciplinary research frameworks.
Dr. Anantha M. A. is a Sanskrit scholar with interdisciplinary expertise in Indigenous Knowledge Systems and traditional sciences. He is contributing academically at the Centre for Traditional Knowledge Data Science & Informatics, Trans-Disciplinary University, Bengaluru. He completed his Ph.D. in Sanskrit from Karnataka Samskrit University in 2020, following advanced specializations in Nyāya (Vidvat Uttama and Madhyama). His research experience includes deciphering, digitization, and editing of classical medical manuscripts, along with applications of Dhanurveda, Vimanashastra and ancient Indian metallurgy. He has served as Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at the Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT–TDU), undertaking significant work supported by the Ministry of Culture and AYUSH for preservation of traditional knowledge systems. His contributions extend to Sanskrit pedagogy, heritage manuscript publishing, and script studies including Grantha and Sharada.
