Dr. Ashwini Thippeswamy is a food process engineer with expertise in Simulation and Modeling, food nanotechnology, and advanced processing techniques like extrusion and high-pressure processing. She specializes in designing sustainable food systems and developing value-added products through innovative food engineering solutions.
Dr. Ashwini Thippeswamy holds a B.Tech in Food Technology, an M.Tech in Food Process Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Food Process Engineering from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. With a strong foundation in both teaching and research, she specializes in the design and development of advanced food processing systems. Enthusiastic about sharing insights and promoting a positive impact. Her expertise includes Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling for fruit storage systems, food nanotechnology applications such as developing nanofibers from agricultural waste via electrospinning, and novel preservation techniques like superheated steam drying and high-pressure processing. Dr. Thippeswamy also has hands-on experience in extrusion technology, new product development, and the design of food instrumentation. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on improving food quality, safety, and sustainability through innovative engineering solutions. With a passion for bridging academic research and industry needs, she continues to contribute to advancements in food process engineering and technology-driven product development for better nutrition and food security.
