𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦, 𝐏𝐮𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 – 𝟐𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓⁣⁣

TDU, in collaboration with IRD (French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development), Paris, and Svarnim Puducherry (Sri Aurobindo Society), organized a one-day 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 at Aurovanam, Puducherry, for 𝟒𝟎 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝟖 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟗 of Chevalier Sellana Government High School, Kalapet, Puducherry. ⁣⁣

The program aimed to instill awareness, appreciation, and a sense of responsibility toward natural resources. It began with a compelling question: “𝘐𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦?” This set the tone for students to reflect on the essential resources nature provides - food, water, medicine, clothing, and entertainment.⁣⁣

Students were divided into three groups and taken into the forest to collect plants representing these needs. They then presented their findings through a creative display and demonstration session.⁣⁣

The hands-on experience connected students deeply with nature and highlighted the importance of conserving biodiversity for a sustainable future.⁣⁣
