About the Course

The course requires earning 180 credits as mandated by UGC and consists of 60% credits for vocational education of which the major portion is of On the Job Training (OJT).


During the OJT of 72 credits spanning well over 720 hours spread over 360 hours per semester, students get hands on training on the Dialysis machine, dialyzer, hemodialysis machine, fistula needle, Water treatment RO, electric dialysis chair and so on.


Students get knowledge about management theories, steps involved in setting up their own laboratory thus motivating them to become future entrepreneurs. They also learn conflict management skills and handling stressful situations in hospitals which shape them as a valuable employee for the hospital.

This is a 1 year full time degree program, which covers the entire canvas of Kidney related disorders, chronic kidney disorders, high standard care for patients with kidney disorders, dialysis techniques, patient handling techniques, renal replacement therapy. 


Students get a complete insight of the dialysis set up and focus on pre-procedures techniques, dialysis procedure, post procedures and complications of dialysis.

Apart from all the clinical and technical aspects, students also get an insight about the operational management skills required for department handling and setting up of new centres.
