Job Summary

• Iron analysis, and iron bio availability analysis of the foods and nutraceuticals. Using chemical, in vitro and cell based models.

Job Specification

Qualification

MSc: Life Sciences or any equivalentpostgraduation degree.

Students with B.Tech biotech or B.Pharm with experience in research will also be considered.

Experience

Freshers can apply.

Applicants with experience in cell and molecular biology work will be given preference.

‍

Skills

• Fundamental laboratory methods in life-sciences research

• Basic cell biology techniques

• Fundamental knowledge of molecular biology

• Team worker

• Good writing, communication, people management and public  relations skills.

• Basic statistical methods

• Basic computer skills

• Interest in traditional medicine regional/local recipes, food  practices
   

Job Responsibilities

• Analysis of iron bioavailability from various nutraceuticals and food ingredients/ herbs

• Iron content analysis from different recipes herbs/ drugs

• Management of Life-science labs, cell-biology facility

• Analysis of the results and Publishing in suitable peer reviewed journals

Project Duration

One year and extendable

Proposed fellowship/ salary/ consultancy

25,000- 30,000 pm
