Qualification
MSc. In Botany/Agriculture/Horticulture
Experience
· Prior knowledge of field data collection on plants (for survey, on growth parameters), conducting interviews with people.
· Very strong urge to self-learning while on the job.
· Flexible on years of experience
Skills
· Thorough knowledge on Botany and specially the wild plants (tree, herbs and shrubs) including their geographic distribution.
· Knowledge on Economic Botany, with special focus on plants used as food.
· Good oral and written communication skill in English and two more Indian languages.
· Good computational skill including use analytical software.
· Good in public outreach through use of social media.
· Strong ability to meet deadlines and capabilities to get things done in disciplined manner
Job Responsibilities
· To conduct field surveys of the FFFPs and collect data on various parameters.
· Collect baseline information of the FFFP sites.
· Preparing QR code for different plants growing in the TDU campus.
· Curating data on local uses of identified food plants at different sited based on secondary authenticate literature survey and field visits, if needed.
· Assist in preparing reports (analyzed) awareness and education materials for outreach program.
· Any other task entrusted from time to time pertaining to the Program
Project Duration
2 years (a probation period of three months) and renewal of contract each year based on the performance
