Work Responsibility
- Preparing design of experiments at lab and pilot scale; recording data, data analysis, writing weekly reports.
- Prepare composite flours (starch and protein fraction) using air classifier – conduct physicochemical and functional and nutritional analysis.
- Analytical Technique- perform laboratory characterization using Rheometer, DSC, fibre, starch, phytic acid, particle size, GC-MS and HPLC.
- Shelf life & sensory- conduct texture analysis, sensory evaluation and monitor shelf life under ambient and accelerated conditions
- Documentation ad reposting- maintain detailed records of experiments, prepare data reports and contributes to publications and project deliverables
- Installation & commissioning of new equipment
- Developing new methodologies
- Conducting workshops
- Report writing & preparing publication quality manuscripts
Project Title
Processing of bio-polymer (protein, starch, and flour)
Job Specification
Qualification
PhD in the area of food science and technology/food technology/food engineering and close allied skills and minimum 2 published papers in peer reviewed journal
Experience
Candidates with relevant work experience with plant proteins extraction, air classification, and extrusion is preferred

- The position is purely on contractual basis

Project Duration
1-year (can be extended based on funding)
Proposed fellowship/ salary/ consultancy
55,000/- per month
